Martyrs

I honestly really liked the first half of this film. Had some really lovely horror elements that genuinely got under my skin (if you pardon the punnios pun pun) but at the end the film felt unsure on its meaning. Feel like this film wanted a reason to make it so horrible. But in some cases you honestly don't have to do all that. Just make a snuff film and leave it there if you don't have anything actually important to say. The film itself felt like three films in one in a way that only served as a jarring choice. Obviously it was a rough watch but you know, kind of ridiculous. I suppose if you like torture porn then this is a must see. But if you're a fan of pure horror this misses the mark.
