I do have this preconception when going into a superhero film which is “I know the story isn’t gonna be great but it’ll be fun” and I’ve realised how insane that is.
These films are some of the most expensive movies ever made. Why am I comfortable heading into a film like this with such a low bar? How have these studios made me feel like that’s what I should expect? Just make a really cool, fun film WITH a solid narrative. Why does that feel like too much to ask from a multi-million dollar operation? This genre has twisted my melon, man.
