The Conjuring 2
I didn't mind the first conjuring but it was very clichéd at most scenes. This one was different. I recommend this to horror fans for these reasons:
It is loosely based upon real events. Frames in the film are actually reenacted from photos of the Enfield haunting.
It experiments with different styles of film(stop motion, blurred translation etc.)
It is ACTUALLY clever with a lot of its jump scares and although lots might not be frightening they should still be appreciated for how they made the scares happen.
An effective modern horror film that shocked me with its refreshing film making techniques.
