The Substance

I liked it! I think a lot of the corny stuff didn’t gel with me throughout the film so there was always a disconnect. Also found a lot of it fairly predictable but hey ho. I did find it very funny but it didn’t really affect me in the way body horror has in the past. But with that said, it’s pretty unique, fun and a real rollercoaster. The actual substance has great branding. Those kits looked very slick. I’d get my hands on those based on that alone. But I fear that it might not be as harmless as advertised. The woman next to me had a fear of injections so I was feeling her pain. One of the worst films to pick if that’s your phobia. Mixed feelings but I had a fun time.
