Colorful and thought-provoking, what a terrific assortment of ideas, styles, and techniques. It was interesting to see the wide range of shorts, from strict homages to injecting a bit of modern filmmaking and pushing the medium. Stunning.
My favorites were the shorts by Jacques Rivette, Idrissa Ouédraogo, Jerry Schatzberg, and David Lynch.
Other stand-outs I also enjoyed were by Nadine Trintignant, Wim Wenders, John Boorman, Claude Lelouch, Abbas Kiarostami, Alain Corneau, and Andrei Konchalovsky.
