Spotlight
This film delivers exceptional storytelling, powerful performances, and masterful direction. Based on jaw-dropping true events, it unfolds like a chilling horror story. The deliberate sequencing of scenes and documentary-style approach make for an eye-opening and impactful experience. While it’s a slow burn, it’s a story that needed to be told, and everyone should watch it at least once to understand its significance. Very well done overall. Side note: a stronger musical score could have elevated it even further.
