The Mirror

Interesting movie. I love how innovative it is. It attempts an artistic approach; perhaps even too bold. But it works. The camera work is insane. The transitions. It feels like a dream. It doesn’t look like it’s stitched up a bunch of scenes. The use of flashback. Using the same actors as the mother and the wife and the son and himself. This is what the movie does well. It has a purpose. It wants to show a stream of consciousness. I can appreciate that. However, in my personal opinion, this movie fails to keep the audience engaged. What is so special about this character? Why his story matters? Why should we care? For this reason, I could not rate this movie highly. This is my subjective opinion. And this is what this movie is. Very subjective. Everyone will go through it and have a different experience.
