House of David
House of David is a solid show that encapsulates the life of David from the Holy Bible. And while I do give this show credit for being an overall well-done adaptation of the story, I couldn't force myself to finish it after halfway through season two. Generative AI has no place in filmmaking and truthfully this series does not need it to succeed, it just seems to think it does. This show is probably the most blatant example of its use in modern cinema that I've seen so far, and I'm firm in my belief that there are no acceptable uses for it as a substitute for reality, even if it is more budget friendly. It gets a 6 from me for its truthfulness to the source material and its acting which genuinely is good, but I would still consider this show a great disappointment that lays waste to its very high potential. Christian filmmaking does not need to be the medium that ushers in this violation of cinema, and the directors/producers should have more integrity in the quality of their work.
