León Klimovsky & Marino Girolami: nimeni on kuolema (Finnish title my name is death) (original title Reverendo Colt)
(1970)

León Klimovsky (16 October 1906- 8 April 1996) was the son of Russian Jews who fled pogroms, and after helping to found Argentina's first film club (1929) and the first art house theater, he became a film director in his own right. In his homeland, he filmed, among others, Dostoevsky and Dumas (the at least competent adaptation of "The Count of Monte Cristo" that also ended up on the Finnish screen). In the 1950s, he emigrated to Spain, where, at least in the eyes of genre fans, he gained a good reputation, especially as a director of war adventures (including Bridge over the Elbe / Seven Into Hell) and horror films (eight collaborations with Paul Naschy).

However, he has nothing to do with the film "Reverendo Colt", at least not otherwise than that his name appears in the form "Klimowsky" in its opening credits.

This Italian-Spanish production would probably not have received financing from the latter party if a Spanish author had not been credited as director (Klimovsky had obtained his citizenship in 1960). The actual director of the film is Marino Girolami, whose son Enzo (= Enzo G. Castellari) made his directorial debut in "Sankari Montanasta"
(Original title: Pochi dollari per Django (1966)) under Klimovsky's signature.

In my name is death , The hero, elegantly interpreted by Guy Madison, who will be seen in his last leading role, is not nicknamed "Death" - contrary to his wildly galloping Finnish name, but "Pastor (Colt)": he is a former bounty hunter turned preacher whose new goal in life is to build a church in the border region. The character bears similarities to Richard Harrison's (who plays the sheriff in this film) pacifist priest character in Girolami's "Treasure Island" version of "Between God, the Devil and a Winchester (Italian: Anche nel west c'era una volta Dio) (1968).

After a lively beginning, the classic siege story has its flaws (rhythm) and stylistic flaws (Scottish humorous characters), but also its moments, such as the gentle final scene in which Madison uses his old skills to call his new congregation together.

Well I i like the film would have a duel of wills and differing life philosophies of hot headed sheriff played by Richard Harrison and the Pacifist Preacher played by Guy Madison. Unfortunately Harrison fucks off after the first 20 minutes and doesn't return after the final shootout.
Mini Review: Guy Madison plays "Pastor (Colt): a former bounty hunter turned preacher whose new goal in life is to build a church in the border region. Bandits try to steal the money of a wagon party heading for California. The pacifist Preacher intercedes on their behalf. After a lively beginning, the classic siege story has its flaws (rhythm) and flaws (Scottish humorous characters), but also its moments : a gentle final scene in which Madison uses his old skills to call his new congregation together.
