choosing to watch this on my ipad in a public space while already feeling nauseous definitely wasn’t my brightest moment but in my defense i went into this completely blind and had no idea what i was getting into … that said, i actually really enjoyed this! i don’t typically get frightened by horror movies, psychological horror being the only exception — ts freaks me OUT. in my opinion, i’d say this film falls into the latter category for SURE. the symbolism was so well executed, choice in words in the dialogue haunting and editing so incredibly well done. this is definitely the type of film that sticks with you!! i usually find myself getting less engaged as a movie goes on but this one actually had me captivated till the end. i think i’d have enjoyed this more if i’d watched it from the comfort of my own room LOL, but enjoyable nonetheless! also i’m just finding out that this was directed by the same person who directed the handmaiden, which is one of my fav movies of all time ??? extra 1/2 star just for that
