Bugonia
Perhaps the most unimaginative cynical prestige film of this decade. It's just a bunch of self-glorified nothingness both in terms of characters -- they only exist as pumped up versions of real-life people, much to the chagrin of who's watching -- and mise-en-scène -- it poses as a provocative festival shocker, but it ends up sounding more artistically corrupt than the shittiest torture porn we can think of. Finale is just the culmination of Lanthimos' stupidity -- who must be thinking he's just 'committed' a Taxi Driver or a Fight Club about this miserable world of ours today.
