Enterre Seus Mortos

dutra's best solo effort and perhaps mello's most powerful performance ever. it's so nice to see this director working with a bigger budget and just spamming a bunch of beautiful wide shots -- interior and exterior. its first hour is seriously amazing, quite a collection of weird images, gestures, moods and exchanges -- loved that dialogue about titanic -- in such a hellish fun vision of cuando acecha la maldad-like apocalypse set in brazil. second half sort of derails -- why three endings? --, but still packs some strong moments -- cult members chilling in a pool party.
