If I Had Legs I'd Kick You

Guess I'm kinda halfway considering it too miserabilist -- in the end of the day, this is still A24's show -- and painfully earnest, poignant and, yes, pretty wickedly funny character study shaped as a big fucking anxiety attack or even worse -- one of those nightmarish bad trips you only have when you feel so down you actually get wasted just to check if you are still breathing or something, if there is any energy left. A film about the impossibility of escaping oneself in the last stages of late capitalism -- now just imagine for a minute being a mom in this doomed, life-draining world; we, men, have no fucking clue and wouldn't last a second.
