Masters of the Universe

nah, you gotta be kidding me with a running time of 144 minutes (on amazon prime video, with dubbing credits included) and three post-credits scenes. guess we have to blame both barbie and james gunn for this. and, to be fair, it's not even as bad -- or at least ugly-looking -- as i was expecting. its stabs at self-conscious comic book humor rarely land, but gotta admit i like some of the material making fun of coaches and 'strong' men -- best scenes: skeletor hanging around in adam's world, like a gym and hr office space. atrocious first half, though, and most of the overstuffed expanded mythologization always feels like it's just trying too hard -- obviously aiming for sequels.
