The Day She Returns

'i wish i had a paradise like yours.' this obviously seems personal to hss -- divorce, being there for your kid, trying to moderate/quit drinking, the pains of having your personal affairs under public scrutiny --, but what impresses me the most, once again in his vast oeuvre, is how he manages to turn a series of straightforwardly staged interviews -- mostly small talk, actually, but here defined by journalist/artist 'professional' interactions -- into a deeply and timely philosophical take on so many things that are in our minds today -- a world of performance culture and constant competition just making us feel drained, gloomy and lifeless.
