Godzilla: King of the Monsters

unironically a better geostorm movie than geostorm. It's large monsters fucking each other up for two hours. It's got callbacks to Heisei-era and 1954 Godzilla. If you know what to expect from a Godzilla movie, you'll get what you came for. The movie does drag in the middle in-between Mexico and Atlantis, and while the human stuff is more interesting than 2014, I can't say it was particularly good, minus the Serizawa stuff. between castle bravo in this and the horse and dog stuff in john wick 3 i think I've hit my quota on movies that make me think of metal gear solid v for the year
