Stranger Things - Season 5

This season was absolutely epic yet utterly heartbreaking. Will finally stepped into the spotlight and even awakened his powers! El chose to sacrifice herself for the others—yes, it feels heroic, but in the context of the story, it’s completely believable. It’s also true to her character: she never just listens to others; she has her own mind and makes her own choices. And all we can do is respect that.

Mike’s open-ended conclusion was handled really well, especially how it echoes their Dungeons & Dragons game from Season 1. The writers were clever here—they let the audience decide what to believe. Even if you wanted to call it a “bad ending,” it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what went wrong. Just like Hopper said: whatever choice El made, we respect it and carry on.

Will is hands-down the second MVP this season. Finally—after four seasons—the writers gave him such a well-deserved and powerful storyline. So satisfying to watch!

That said, the finale did feel like it was missing some scenes. The action, while well-funded, wasn’t as expansive as I’d hoped. They dedicated a whole hour to the aftermath and emotional wrap-up instead. Kinda bittersweet, but it worked.
