Yes it's a giant ad for the Biltmore Estate. Hallmark makes a couple of these every year to pay the bills. But Bethany Joy Lenz is a legit star who gets a chance to shine with a decent Somewhere in Time plot and fantastic mock Golden Age of Hollywood film. Kristoffer Polaha holds his own as her counterpart and Frakes is nice to see, though his B-plot was a bit pointless. I wish they used more than a few rooms of the house. Would have been nice to see the staircase. Fav scenes: Lenz's costumes.

It's a lot more fun if you have a few drinks and don't take it seriously. It has every cliche of a Hallmark Christmas movie but is just different enough to be enjoyable. Seeing the Biltmore in the movie is super fun for NC people. Otherwise it's no cinematic masterpiece but a fun Christmas movie.
