S1 (1986/7) big rep but disapointment IMO. Starts shakily, firms up then slides into silliness (gave up at ep 27 of 51, watched ep 50, tho slightly better, still unbelievable). Tho hamstrung by 'must be all done in an hour' format the 'I'm Joe Cool in Sunglasses' air gets quite tedious. Set out of rowdy cop shop our 2 heroes & other regulars joke & bash through compliant villains to a successful end, no room for plot complexity & in many eps silly & unbelievable. NO. Series 2 - 1988-9 & movies.
