American Monster

I hate the narrator's ham-fisted attempts at trying to make events sound dramatic but the show is otherwise decent. The quality of episodes run the gamut, especially since all of the murders are a result of spousal disputes so there tends to be a lot of common tropes within that. But other times the show presents engaging personal conflicts that are unique enough that it kept my interest, especially if the murder is unorthodox in some way. Not a bad way to blow about 40 minutes.
