Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest

An exceptional isekai. Same derivative formulaic isekai BS - but delivered well with engaging action sequences, an earned rise to power (over one episode - but starting from the bottom and earning it at least), some self-aware commentary (as the writers indulge themselves anyway), and a likable enough cast of characters around.

Seen S1 (13 eps); "Yue's Diary" special; S2 (12+2 eps); S3 (16 eps). S1 review: Inconsistent. First 5 episodes quite good, maybe score 55 or 58. Starting with ep 6 it took a sharp turn to comedy, and I don't like how the comedy often has poor treatment of women as the "punchline". S2 review: Score 58. Much more consistent and I preferred the comedy to S1, though it doesn't go back to the tone of those first 5 eps. S3 review: Score 55. Slight pacing issues in middle. Liked the character writing.

While it does have a LOT of fan service, overall the energy of the harem with the main character meshes really well, and the story has some interesting turns it's made so far in season 1. Definitely keeping an eye out for season 2.
