Austin & Ally

A likable Disney Channel sitcom with a fun central friendship, even if it rarely breaks from the network's usual formula. Ross Lynch and Laura Marano have good chemistry, and the contrast between Austin's confidence and Ally's awkwardness creates some entertaining moments. The humor can be predictable and the side characters are exaggerated, but the music gives the show some extra personality. It's simple, lighthearted television that works best when it focuses on the two leads.
