Banshee

God DAMN, does this show have some fucking sick-ass fights, beyond-the-pale ultraviolence, good old comic booky heroes-and-villains cops-n-robbers stories, and copious female nudity. There's nothing deep or profound about it, but I enjoy the hell of every gloriously stupid second. Didn't enjoy season 3 quite as much as seasons 1 and 2.

As another reviewer said, this is just pulpy crime shit. At points, it is easy to let the show's rush of pure adrenaline take grip of you and help you to forget its glaring issues. Unfortunately, these moments are few and far in between. While we are presented with a host of interesting characters, the show often has logical fallacies, poorly rendered female characters, and an innumerable amount of plot convenience just to keep the story rolling. The action in this show is superb, and that's it.

Amazingly stupid show. No idea why it's so popular.

Fun, forgettable.

Wildly fantastical crime thriller action drama series with lot's of dudebro staples packed in. Tits, ass, blood, guts, drugs, guns, violence, and more are all on offer with this one. And it's a fun ride that never overstays its welcome. Anthony Starr pre-Homelander is a real treat.

S1: 80 | S2: 80 | S3: 85 | S4: 80 | Excellent characters, (generally) solid pacing, fun and brutal fight scenes, and an interesting premise make this a great watch from start to finish. S3 has three of the best episodes of the series (ep 3, 5 & 10), which gives it a slight edge, but otherwise consistent. The sheer volume of sex scenes in S1 is drinking game worthy, which could be a pro or a con depending on the person. While I would’ve liked more, I’m glad the show didn’t outstay its welcome.

Although not one of my top series, overall it's a fun series to watch, suspenseful, interesting, with a fascinating story.

A hyper-violent, pulpy masterpiece—where ”ex-con sheriff” Lucas Hood brawls, fucks, and shoots his way through Amish gangsters and UFC-tier fights. The ”You look like you’ve seen a ghost” reveal? Chef’s kiss.

Batshit crazy series lmao, it's enjoyable af tho.

First, second, and fourth seasons are excellent. The third season loses momentum, but if you hang in there, the last one makes it all worth it.
