I didn't mind the endless mooning by Eddie Redmayne, but I really couldn't buy the chemistry between the two leads. Love of the ages requires a bit more than just physical attraction and youthful obsession to the unobtainable. I can't even remember if the two leads had any semblance to a meaningful conversation before they decided to be madly in love. Also Redmayne still doesn't quite have the "grit" to pull off a seasoned cynic with that boyish demeanor of his.

This would probably go down well if you haven’t read the book.
