This was one of my childhood favorites. I recently rewatched season 1 and 2 and rediscovered why I liked it so much. Robert Conrad was very charismatic. Some of the war footage was used repeatedly. The outlaw activities and disorderly bravado were obviously staged for effect. Aside from all the Hollywood nonsense, there are many insights into the lives and hardships faced by the actual WWII fighter pilots.
