Most interesting Dickens adaptation. Tho (Dickens) trope bound has a bit of depth and all players do well. Quite good compared to other old period dramas.

If you want the "Dummies Guide to Charles Dickens" this is a superb way of blagging your way through this particular novel. Whilst Dickens (or at least the producers) seems to differentiate the loveability of characters based solely on their dental hygiene you have to applaud everyone in this first rate production. Dance, Martin, Anderson and Mulligan were an absolute joy to watch. Sadly, it all ended a little abruptly and was wrapped up in tidy bow, which I suspect was not quite true Dickens.

Astonishing and perfect. British cast of less known actors is just superb. A real must see for any Dickens/british social drama fan.
