Bodacious Space Pirates

The title and designs suggest a wacky, light-hearted slice-of-life comedy about teen girls getting into space piracy shenanigans. And it has all of that, but it also has astonishingly thoughtful and crunchy worldbuilding, getting deep into the social, economic, and political structure that would allow "high schooler unexpectedly becoming a pirate captain" to happen, feeling kind of like the Foundation novels but better because it has actual characters, many of whom are queer girls. Good stuff!
