Casshern Sins

funny gogoanime made me watch most of the the last ep first lool which actually added nicely to the mystery/mystique. early on i really liked it then it just wasnt doin enough for me, and i felt like the ending was weird, even after learning about some of the concepts/themes they were going for. like they just sound cool but werent done that properly or well

An inspired idea - taking a popular pulp sci-fi series of yesteryear and turning it on its head into an artistic rich eulogy on death in a post-apocalypse - let down badly by execution. The first half sticks too close to generic one-off stories, the second half baring some fascinating psychodrama for the main female protagonist becomes confused in message and not as rich as it should've been. Could've been a hell of a series in a better version.

What a huge let down. I'm amazed it was possible to make an anime about robots kicking the crap out of each other THIS boring. Even in shows like DBZ and Naruto the plot actually felt like it's going somewhere but the pacing in Casshern Sins is so godawful it feels like absolutely nothing at all happened for 20 episodes straight. Even the (very few) action scenes are as dull and uninspired as the rest of the show. Not only was it boring as hell it was just as pretentious.
