It could have flown much higher; Gandolfini is probably the best actor in the world, yet he's in a character depicted as an manipulative fame-and-gold hungry asshole. A more compreensive portray of all characters should have been the best approach to this thing, I think.

Covers a lot of the same territory as the Grey Gardens, ie can a narrative film can some how expose more truth than the documentary that inspired it? Gandolfini stands out amongst his so-so costars.

With a great cast acting like this, it could have been much better, somehow the emotional part was a bit shallow..The resemblance to the real family is amazing..Diane Lane is extraordinary

"Best to focus on the real standouts here: the excellence of the casting and performances." - Rob Humanick

The acting was good, but nobody really stood out. I also felt like they only scratched the surface of the human side of the story. Above-average movie overall, not great.
