My critique of "Contract on Cherry Street" stems from its emphasis on the 70s archetype of a 'man's man.' The narrative presents police officers so consumed by their desire for justice that they cross ethical lines, with one even spiraling into serial killing. A particular scene stands out, where the lead character offers some serious mansplaining on gender roles that might not resonate well with today's audience, especially modern women.
