Derren Brown: The Heist

It’s funny that for a special that may feature loads of people being traumatised, the poster is Derren Brown doing a little cutesy grin.

While meaning has been somewhat disproportionately extracted from, and projected onto, the Milgram experiments, there's no getting around the chill of their replication, or footage of it. (Of course the recreation here is not a real replication, but seems quite faithful as far as that goes.) Brown's larger deception results in some stirring footage in the end, but the skimpy runtime and lack of contextualization indicates the allegiance to the spectacle of this most Situationist-ish of magicians

Wasn't much jeopardy in this one; teaching The Apprentice-like-business-sorts to steal's like teaching a cat to chase mice.
