I mean... I had no expectations for this. I was not that impressed with the previous revival. I was worried starting this one, but to be honest , it's not that bad. If you enjoy the Dexter universe you should like this. The younger cast mostly incorporates their counterparts (Except Slater, I don't see this at all), and the stories feel like Dexter and there are some clever little nods. Its second tier fodder. Enjoy.

Good prequel to Dexter. Smart, funny and enjoy able to watch for the most part. Casting was top notch, even Slater did not bother me, just reminded of the Great Mr Robot.

Pretty fun for the most part. It’s not as strong as the best Dexter seasons, but it’s far better than the worst. The casting is mostly great, with Gibson and Shimizu really nailing the feel of their characters. Slater, while decent, feels like a completely different take than the original. The first episode is mostly a retread, but the rest is enjoyable, with Dexter and Harry’s work dynamic being an interesting angle. I’m open for more as long as it doesn’t run out of steam.
