Drifters

Incredibly edgy but its edge serves a narrative purpose and the show is so over the top it's easy to roll with. The premise is used surprisingly well in that they'll often draw upon history as a source for character development and relations, cleverly establishing a backstory for the entire cast before the show even begins. Visually the show utilizes shadows and coloring really well while battles are often exciting wherein neat strategies are often used. Shame season 2 is in limbo.
