I generally liked it, by the way I haven't read novel yet, which could change my opinion. The film is entertaining and has pretty good flow to it. The production and action scenes are decent, especially considering it is made for TV. The actors do a really good job, and they somehow get a true pro like Rossellini in their movie.

I saw this years ago, and recollection is fuzzy. I remember with the greatest clarity, however, my disappointment with an adaptation of some of the most precious novels of my childhood, which continue to have quite a lot of significance for me.
