Escape from Sobibor

A fairly good Holocaust movie, but there were some unnecessary, overexaggerated or extremely confusing scenes littered throughout the film. I also feel that bad acting let it down as well which was mostly from the children. I know this is fairly harsh but it spoiled the film for me.

Good Holocaust movie. Seeing Jews kill Nazis with their bare hands always warms a brave man's heart :-)

Pretty good for a TV movie with decent performances, sometimes a little over the top but nothing as hammy as Liam Neeson's final speech in Schindler's List.

Escape From Sobibor is one big explosive moment. Everything that happens, is said or is done has a direct connection of few degrees of separation. It is two hours long, but the beginning, middle and end flow into each other so completely, the tone so consistent throughout, that we hardly do any thinking back to what happened before. Perhaps it's more a series of pay-offs than any build-up, but then maybe I'm wrong.

This is a great WW2 death camp movie. The entire thing kept me on the edge of my seat and the tip of my toes. Basically, I sat very uncomfortably.

Exciting fact-based drama with tremendous emotional impact.

A grisly and riveting look at concentration camp life. A very poignant and eye-opening film, years before we all heard of Schindler's List.

Paintstakingly harsh.
