Michael J. Anderson is kidnapped and forced into service as the king's jester. He plots revenge against the king and his advisers. Julie Taymor's adaptation of the Edgar Allen Poe short story has life sized puppet's playing almost all the characters. I can see why some might admire this, but I found it to be aesthetically repellent and I kind of hated it.
