Would have been better as a 15-minute "60 Minutes" story. There's not much insight and left me cold. It's not conclusive that the conservatorship is bad for her. I have an uncle with mental health issues whose finances and housing were managed by the government for decades. He found a way to "free" himself of this, and it wasn't long before, between assistance checks he was frequently penniless, possessionless, homeless and spending his nights sleeping in the park in the pouring rain.

Too superficial and inconclusive as an investigative report, thanks to a lack of access to a key medical report which one feels is the missing puzzle piece, making the face-value acceptance of #FreeBritney fans towards the end feel somewhat irresponsible. Otherwise gives a rote play-by-play of Spears' many rises and falls, but shies away from any serious consideration of the "male gaze" (outside of Ed McMahon's unsettling contribution) and corrosive celebrity culture which would add resonance.

Simply too short a running time to do a comprehensive job of covering the whole saga but good for someone not familiar with Britney's story

I do not understand celebrity worship. Bring me Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, Ariana Grande, etc. I will pick my nose in front of all of those damn kids right now

The hidden thesis here is that we all sucked - every single person - in our past. Hopefully we're learning and getting better, but who knows what we're wrong about today.
