A jubilant success about some of my favorite themes in life: love, friendship, virtuoso music and the demonization of alcohol.

This well acted country series has rekindled my interest and love for old country music, and i think on those terms it is a very succesful outing. I love the unexplained tendency of Shannon's George Jones to speak in a Donald Duck voice during his rock bottom alcoholism. The singing and song recreation is impressive. It makes me both appreciate how well the 2 leads did this, and also realize the premium level of the 2 real singers by comparison. The music is absolutely beautiful. Recommended!
