Giri/Haji

Very entertaining whenever it gets visually or comedically playful and is generally stylishly helmed but the contrivances of the plot stops it from really reaching greatness. The characters are fun and believable, if not original or intimately realized. The acting, minus Yosuke, is top-notch. Moments of "poignancy" range from kind of dumb to genuinely moving. The last episode is fantastic. All in all, a satisfying binge that aims for greatness, missing the mark but getting closer than most.

Got up to S1E4 and decided it's too boring to continue. Show tries to make you care about characters, but fails. Samewise for attempts of being phylosophical.

Not bad but a bit uneven, 'artistic' bits was a bit distracting.
