Eddie is a private detective. When a client asks him to help persuade his ex-wife to leave him alone, Eddie says yes. Nothing strange about that ?, well 'ex' refers to the fact that she died 10 years ago. Eddie thinks this will be an 'easy money' case, but soon falls for the beautiful woman who insists she's no ghost. (imdb)

An idea with tantalizing metafictional dimensions that could have made for an interesting take on the era of sudsy neo-noir inaugurated by BODY HEAT is totally squandered. The lame nonsensical framing device is the kind of thing that makes you yell at the TV (and I do, and I did). Madsen was reportedly uncomfortable with the nudity and no wonder. The talent and beauty to be a star in the Monroe mold wasted on TV trash without interest (tits 'cause Showtime). Never had the career she should have.

Deeply weird supernatural noir. The cast is actually pretty good, especially Madsen, but this is fatally sabotaged by the sub-soap opera production values and uneven tone.
