Aww, the cute little fuzzies! I'm sure if he really wanted to, he could have worked out a business agreement with the little guys and their big friend. Seriously, as others have noted, the story is a lot like the previous episode, but the execution and tone are different, and that goes a long way toward making this middling fun instead of a tiring occult tale.

Plot is very similar to Lot 36 -- a desperate dude with a debt to pay and running against the clock to find resources --, but execution is of course pretty different. Period piece is spot-on, not to mention the creature design -- big rat with big teeth, skeleton screaming MINE -- and the claustrophobic climax in the underground rat maze in search of dead people's treasures. Just fun as hell.

Putting this and Lot 36 back to back was a mistake since the plots are so similar. The tongue-in-cheek tone is mildly amusing, though the ending is straight out of Creepshow.
