Hakumei and Mikochi

Iyashikei is a genre whose name means "healing", and this sure fits the bill. It's sweet and gentle and warm, while still having lots of personality, interesting conflict, and surprisingly deep worldbuilding (that really gets into what a society with tiny humans and normal-sized talking animals would be like). The main characters are adult women with jobs and lives and places in a community and a lovely domestic relationship (even if Hakumei doesn't know lesbians exist). It's a balm to the soul.
