While the animation is much better than the TV series I found myself quite bored. I like the anime but it wasn't great and this movie doesn't change my mind. Let's hope the sequels are better.

(Rating/review for the whole series) I dismissed it as style-over-substance dreck until about halfway through when it started winning me over. What gets to me is how anti-human it is, how exceedingly little a human life means here, and how alien of a being Alucard is (something far more metaphysical than your typical vampire). It's the anime equivalent of a really good death metal album.

The animation is kind of all over the place in this installment, but what a great redo of a manga adaptation. I'm sure they'll only get better from here.

I was impressed with the start-up of Hellsing Ultimate. Stylistically different than the first anime and an improvement in many matters. I found it most enjoyable. It was worth watching Hellsing I, even though it is almost identical in plot to the beginning of the first anime.

The anime series wasn't all that great, but this is so ridiculously lame I couldn't watch it all the way through.

Oh, I'm so glad they decided to rebuild Hellsing with a huge budget. The first entry honestly has the worst animation of the bunch, but with each episode it improves by leaps and bounds.

It's very silly but it's done with visual style and the background setting is interesting.
