Hemingway

If Burns and Novick were wanting to engender pity in the viewer for Hemingway then they succeeded. But if they were aiming for compassion (that's my guess) then they surely failed. I did not like Hemingway's writing before watching this film, and I still don't like it. I was ambivalent about Hemingway the man and myth before watching this film, but now I can declare that I like neither the man nor the myth. The only version of Hemingway that I like is that which was the frenemy of Orson Welles.

Not bad. I've never read any Hemingway so it wasn't as interesting to me as it would have been.
