Higurashi: When They Cry: Gou

The most important thing to know going into Gou is that having watched the original series (or played the visual novels) will enrich your experience tremendously; it is, fundamentally, an expansion on and response to the original series. But if you have, it's a really fascinating response. There are some things I'm not fond of - the mystery isn't as tightly crafted, the more intense moments of violence may go over the line of being narratively justified - but overall, I had a really good time.
