Horatio Hornblower: The Wrong War

The best way to describe this is Diet-Sharpe.

This one can be a bit frustrating. Much of the time is taken up in a cat-and-mouse game that doesn't have the most satisfying resolution.

It doesn't do all it could with the premise, but there are a lot of cool scenes to behold. The royalists try retaking power, and Hornblower is met with a particularly nasty noble. The love story is hastened and folly, sadly.

Not so much invasion as a little sortie. Good to see Horatio playing the soldier this time - but just to defend a small bridge. The love interest was perhaps unnecessary - the critical point was the royalist running a personal agenda.
