Adjusted for '90s TV movie expectations, restrained and subtle. Not as easy as a distant father, but one involved in his own boundary-crossing: before Coach "seduces" her, Dad buys his 14 year-old a car, quite against the wishes of his wife, the disrespect of whom is another thread. May seem to stretch credibility at points, but dude was insanely brazen. A pretty unintentionally hilarious movie. Supposedly this intelligent high school girl "didn't realize she was allowed to say no" to Gary Cole's monstrous advances. What a load of horseshit.
