You might say I don't like it because of its age...but then why do I eat up Sherlock Holmes mysteries? Saw the first "episode" (read: 2 hour movie) and it couldn't hold my attention in the slightest. The book series has bang average reviews too, so what's the point?

Probably the best British detective series ever made - which is saying something. The late great John Morse is superb. Great character acting and relatively complex plots. Not suitable for those who need everything spelt out for them. The thematic music by Barrington Pheloung is haunting. EF 45, IF 45.

Great to watch when you're feeling sick.
