Ishibumi

In sombre & austere (purpose built?) set surrounded by simple wooden boxes (which reminded me perfect as children's coffins esp there & then) class actress Haruka Ayase, a Hiroshima native, reads excerpts from journal of parent's letters about their kids who attended Hiroshima Second Middle School. Lined up in open on Aug 1945 right under where first A-bomb detonated, there were no survivors. They were 13 and less. No histrionics. Assume lo IMDB rate cos isn't entertainment, rather heartbreak.
