This is my kind of period piece. The production is great. The dialogue is witty. The show is well cast and well acted. Each episode delivers the right mix of character development and plot progression to keep it engaging.

This has some pretty severe pacing problems, especially in early episodes, that probably arose from the difficulty of adapting the incredibly dense, slow (and brilliant) start of its source material. It finds its footing in the later episodes, though, and becomes pretty compelling.

Not bad.

It has War,Magic,kings,great costumes,good special effects and fantastic acting. The only thing left to say is just one Word: Awesome!!

Well, it got there eventually. Really dragged for me at the start then found it's feet.

The novel is rather astounding, and the show did a superb job of bringing it to life. The performances were all very convincing, and the effects were actually quite good.
